Welcome to the official blog of the Fine Arts & Cultural Education Society (FACES). We’re excited to connect with you and share our passion for making a meaningful impact in our community.

FACES was founded in 2025 by a group of women — many with decades of volunteer experience, who all shared a unifying belief that guides everything we do: the arts are for everyone, and everyone deserves the opportunity to experience creativity.

From painters and musicians to dancers, writers, photographers, performers, and cultural tradition bearers, the Valley is home to people whose creativity deserves recognition and support.

Our mission is to celebrate the rich artistic and cultural heritage of the Rio Grande Valley while creating opportunities for artists, educators, families, and community members to connect, learn, and grow together. At FACES, we believe that everyone should have access to meaningful arts and cultural experiences regardless of age, background, or experience.

As a newly established nonprofit organization, we're laying the foundation for programs that inspire creativity, preserve cultural traditions, and make the arts more accessible throughout our community. In the months ahead, you'll see our friendly faces in the community as we work alongside local artists, schools, cultural organizations, businesses, and volunteers to celebrate the unique spirit of South Texas.
